This was disclosed to RIA-NOVOSTI over the phone today by the chief of the Urus-Martan district police department. Gatsayev's body was lying inside his VAZ-2106 passenger car, the police chief noted. Gatsayev, 43, apparently died as a result of a gunshot wound that damaged his temple. Gatsayev was holding a service pistol in his hand. The police are now trying to find out whether this was premeditated murder or suicide. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Chechenpress Murder of the administration chief of Goiskoye village The chief of the village administration of Goiskoye in the Urus-Martan district, Adam Gatsayev, has been killed. Gatsayev's body was discovered in his car on Friday, several dozen metres from the village administration building. Local residents asssert that A. Gatsayev was killed by members of the Kadyrov gang formations, with whom Gatsayev had repeated conflicts. It is remarkable that the puppet investigators are purporting the version of Gatsayev's "suicide", though such acts are absolutely uncharacteristic for Chechens. 06.09.03 http://www.chechenpress.com/news/09_2003/4_06_09.shtml [Translation by M.L.] |
