In the morning of September 2 Chechen-Aoul administration head Tsitsayev was killed by unknown criminals.

At dawn of September 2 five masked gunmen reportedly burst into the victim's house in Chechen-Aoul village of Groznensky district shot the man dead and left the site right away.

As the department police informed a joint team of the FSB, police and the Prosecutor's office detectives has been conducting investigation into the case at the moment. "The victim's relatives, neighbors are being interrogated to get some clues to hunt the criminals down," said a police officer in his phone interview with the Caucasus Times correspondent. "We have already obtained some information on suspects and the police agents are in pursuit of the suspects.

The law-enforcement agents the man was killed due to his administrative activity. Case is reportedly open, under investigation.
