Kadyrov calls for creating commission for finding missing people 28.08.2003 By Sergei Ovsiyenko MOSCOW, August 28 (Itar-Tass) - Acting Chechen president Akhmat Kadyrov called on Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov, FSB director Nikolai Patrushev and Prosecutor's General Vladimir Ustinov to create an inter-departmental commission for finding missing people in the republic. Officials of the Chechen president's press service told Itar-Tass on Thursday by telephone that Kadyrov calls for granting "broad powers" to the commission. "We must ensure security of the people and maintain law and order in Chechnya," he stressed. Earlier, Chechen Interior Minister Alu Alkhanov told Itar-Tass that 380 people missed this year in the republic.
