1 killed, 7 wounded by bomb blast in Chechnya

One woman was killed and seven people were seriously injured when a tractor carrying agricultural workers hit a remote-controlled mine outside the village of Assinovskaya in Chechnya's Sunzha district. Among those injured were five women and two men, including a teenager, Malika Adayeva, district administration head Khizir Vitayev reported on Thursday. Parts of the mine and a Kenwood radio transmitter were discovered at the scene. The injured victims were taken to a hospital in the village of Sleptsovskaya in Ingushetia. Most of them are in a serious condition, Vitayev said.
