Atrocities of the Russian servicemen in Achkhoi-Martan region
On 14 June 2003, in the Achkhoi-Martan region, Chechnya, at the so-called mobile checkpoint not far from the village Samashki, the Russian servicemen stooped a car carrying five persons: the parents and their daughter and two sons. The name has not been specified yet.
The servicemen told the head of the family to get off the car and follow them. In order not to leave the father alone the elder son (aged 20) also got off the car went together with them. Nothing is known about them since then.
Their relatives applied to almost all force structures and bodies of authorities of the republic, but all their efforts to find out anything about the whereabouts of the missing father and son were vain.
A resident of the village Kirov kidnapped
On 15 June 2003, the employees of the "Kadyrov force structures" kidnapped a resident of the village Kirov Rustam Saparbiev, aged 23. The incident took place in the territory of the Grozny City Hospital N 8 located in the Zavodskoy district of the Chechen capital, where the young man came to visit his mother, Zargan. When Rustam left the hospital a group of armed people in camouflage stopped him in the street. They were in a "Zhiguli" car.
Without any explanation the armed people pushed him into the car and took him in the unknown direction. Rustam's relatives managed to find out that he was kidnapped by the employees of local force structures, or so-called "Kadyrov's people".
Nothing is known about the reason for this kidnapping. It should be noted that Rustam's brother was also kidnapped last autumn, who is still missing.
Murder of the militiamen in Grozny
At about 9:00 a.m. on 18 June 2003, the strangers shot down a car carrying three people in the Lenin district of Grozny. All of them were killed on the spot. The assailants passed out of sight immediately.
According to our information, all the three persons in the car were the employees of the Lenin district police department of Grozny.
Russian servicemen burn down the civilians' houses
According to the information
of the natives, on 18 June 2003 the Russian servicemen burnt down the Malsagovs'
house in the village Elistanji of Vedeno region, Chechnya. The tenants of the
house left the republic in 1999, and have not returned home since then.
One of the Russian servicemen told the local inhabitants that all abandoned houses would be burnt down as they are used by the Chechen fighters as covers from fire. The same day two more deserted houses were burnt down in the village. Earlier, on 16 June 2003 the Russian burnt down five houses in the village Kharachoy.
According to the inhabitants
of that place, the Russian soldiers take out everything from the houses before
burning. So, it is evident that they burn down the houses to make a secret of

The tyranny of the servicemen in Staropromislov district of the capital
On the night of 19 June 2003, in the Staropromislov district of the Chechen capital Grozny, the Russian servicemen opened desultory fire. According to the residents of the settlement Katayama, the firing lasted about an hour and people had to stay in the basements to find cover from fire.
The local residents suppose that killing of 3 Russian servicemen by the unknown people a day before gave the Russians cause for firing in the Staropromislov district of Grozny.
Murder in the centre of Grozny
On 18 June 2003, the unknown people shot down a car with three people on board: a driver and two passengers. As a result of shooting, all the three persons were killed on the spot. The victims are not identified.
