Release # 374. Killings, kidnappings
A driver killed in the outskirts of Mesker-Yurt
On the night of 15 July 2003, the armed strangers in camouflage shot down a
driver of the truck "KamAZ". Beslan is the name of the killed driver, born in
1956, a resident of the village Novogrozny, Gudermess region, Chechnya.
As it became known, Beslan earned his living by transportation and realization
of mineral oil. His truck was blocked by three cars with the armed people on
board. When Beslan stopped the truck, those people dragged him off the truck
and shot him down. According to his relatives, the murderers are the employees
of one of local force structures.
6 residents of Aldy captured by Russian servicemen
The Russian servicemen captured 6 people in the village Aldy, in the area of
Grozny on 16 July 2003. According to the local inhabitants, the Russian servicemen
arrived in the village on armoured carriers with painted number plates. They
captured six men and took them in the unknown direction. Their relatives did
not want the captives to be identified.
The relatives of the six captured young people cannot find out anything about
their whereabouts.

On 22 June 2003, the Russian soldiers annihilated an international [entire?]
family in the Lenin district of Grozny. (Press Release #365 03.07.03) - Sanaev
Bekhan, born in 1965, his wife Olga. Bekhan Sanaev participated in military
actions and was amnestied in 2001. He had all corresponding documents, certifying
that he voluntarily laid down arms.
The Sanaevs have a 7-year-old daughter and two sons: Deny (aged 3) and Islam,
a three-month-old baby.
