2 civilians kidnapped in Chechnya

Two civilians have been kidnapped in Chechnya, the provisional press centre of the Russian Interior Ministry reported on Tuesday.

The day before, at 3:30, local time, ten masked men, driving UAZ and Volga cars without licence plates, entered a house in the village of Novye Aldy. They kidnapped a local inhabitant, 30-year-old Adam Novrizov. The kidnappers also stole gold jewellery. Their value is now being specified.

Later, at 4:30, in that same village, a group of ten men in UAZ and Volga cars kidnapped another local inhabitant. As in the previous case, the people in masks broke into the house and drove away with 29-year-old Ruslan Geirikhanov. The same armed group carried out both kidnappings, the Interior Ministry reported.
