Grozny resident abducted
On the night of May 5-6 unknown armed persons wearing masks burst into a house
on Shefskaya Street, Staropromyslovsky district in Grozny, Chechnya, and took
away its resident, 42-year-old Musa Zaurbekov. The kidnapped has recently returned
back home, believing that after the constitutional referendum in Chechnya they
would have a normal life.
According to Musa's relatives, the incident took place at about 3 a.m. The armed
men forced the front door with their rifle butts. The kidnappers locked up the
rest of the family in a separate room, sealing their lips with scotch tape.
Then they ordered Musa out of the house and drove him away in a UAZ vehicle.
Later in the morning his relatives turned for help to the Staropromyslovsky
district administration and commandant's office in Grozny. But they have got
no assistance in search
of the kidnapped.
