Memorial about the execution
of Baymuradova's relatives.
After the explosion on the 14th of May 2003 in the settlement of Iliskhan-Yurt,
the mass media hurried up with the information that a name of one of "the terrorists-shaheeds"
- was Shakhidat Baymuradova. Her body was found in the immediate vicinity of
the point of blast. It also has been reported that allegedly the relatives Shakhidat
Baymuradova, including her sons were participating and were active in the illegal
armed formations and they have perished or got arrested.
On the night of the 17th of May in the village of the Bachi-Yourt of the Kurchaloi
district some unknown people shot dead four relatives of Shakhidat Baymuradova.
The employees of the Memorial Human Right Center explained the following:
Shakhidat Baymuradova (maiden name Abalayeva), born in 1957, lived in the village
of Nizhniye Noibera (Suvorov-Yourt) of the Gudermes district. Shakhidat's
husband died in an auto-accident prior to the beginning of the second Chechen
war. One of Shakhidat's sons has died, the second one - has been imprisoned.
But, the mass media information that both sons had joined the armed formations
was incorrect. The first one was killed by a Chechen, the second one took vengeance
for his brother and was arrested. According to interviews with neighbors and
relatives of Shakhidat, she had had never any relation to Wahhabism, and to
take her a vengeance against the authority there were also no reasons for that.
Neither the mass media nor any representatives of the authority for some reason
reported that together with Shakhidat from this explosion also has perished
her sister Amani Visayeva, seventy year old. She lived in the village of Khidi-Khutor
of the Vedeno district, but as many other inhabitants of this mountain village
she was forced to escape from there. She lived in her sister's house in the
village of Nizhniye Noibera. On 17th of May 2001 one of her sons, Aslambek Yakubovich
Visayev, thirty three years old, was detained in Gudermes by some representatives
of the federal forces and has disappeared. Together with him was detained and
also disappeared his first cousin Aslambek.
According to our knowledge, Amani Visayeva, searching for her son, during the
last two years repeatedly has turned to the different representatives of the
authority. In May, she attempted to be received by A. Kadyrov, but she had not
be able do that. Someone advised her to turn to him during the religious holiday
in Iliskhan-
Yurt.
Most likely, neither Shakhidat Baymuradova nor Amani Visayeva had any relation
to this terrorist act. They proved to be its random victims, when Amani was
following her younger sister attempting to make her way to Kadyrov.
About this indirectly testifies the nature of injuries of both sisters. As medical
autopsy has shown, Shakhidat died from a fragmentation injury in her temple,
Amani - from the numerous fragmentation injuries. There was no "shahid belt"
on any one of them.
About this also testifies the fact that the bodies of women were given out to
their relatives for the burial. They have been buried in the village of Bachi-Yourt
of the Kurchaloi district, that's were they were born.
After their burial, on the 17th of May, approximately at 3:00 AM, house of the
relatives of the killed sisters in Bachi-Yourt was surrounded by a large group
of armed people in the camouflage uniforms and masks. Then, they burst into
the house and killed four persons. The first shot dead were two sons of Amani
Visayeva: Khanpasha Yakubovich Visayev, 41, and Movsar Yakubovich Visayev, 38.
After that, brother of Amani and Shakhidat - Duta Sayd-Akhmedovich Abalayev,
62, was killed and his daughter Louiza Abalayeva, 25 .
Those strangers spoke between themselves and with the remaining living members
of the Abalayev family in Chechen [language], without any accent. When someone
shouted to the killers: "What are you doing! You can't kill people without any
trial and investigation!", as a response to it, it was said: "And yours, had
killed without any trial".
In the daytime, on the 17th of May into the house of the Abalayevs family in
Bachi-Yourt arrived a group of employees of Kadyrov's security service. They
said to the members of this family who survived that this murder hasn't been
committed by people from this [security] service. "There is no blood on us !"-
they said.
