Chechen residents resist illegal actions of security service officers

At about midnight on May 16, a group of Kadyrov's people [officers of the Chechen president's security service], who arrived in two Zhiguli cars without number plates, rushed into the house of a local situated in a dead-end in the Chechen town of Shali. Witnesses of the happening living nearby blocked the dead-end with a Kamaz trailer. The raiders searched the house tearing wall-paper off and taking floor boards away. Not having detected any things valuable for them, they decided to leave the scene. Having found themselves in a trap, Kadyrov's people opened desultory fire. Locals categorically demanded that Kadyrov's people should abandon the practice of committing arbitrary night attacks on private houses. When the raiders make excuses for the damage done and promised not
to repeat such raids, the locals removed the trailer.
