ChCNS/CP: A series of murders

In the second half of the day on 31 January 2003, a corpse of a young man with bullet wounds was found in the village Orjonikidzevskaya of Sunzha district, Ingushetia. As it became known later, the murdered young man was a refugee from the Chechen Republic - Zaurbek Jabrailov, born in 1974. According to our information, Zaurbek was a relative of Umar Jabrailov, a well-known Moscow businessman. No information is available about the reason of the murder.

According to the residents of the village Alkhan-Kala of Grozny district, late in the night of 31 January 2003, unknown people murdered an old woman. She was shot in her home, located in the outskirt of the village. The identity of the murdered woman and details of the crime  are being investigated.

On 8 January 2003, in several kilometers away from the village Kurchaloi, the natives of the village found the remains of a blown up body. It is impossible to identify the killed person. The fragments of the body were buried on the cemetery near the village.
