Invaders detained Chechen human rights activists

Information agency "For Human Rights" informs that three known Chechen human rights activists: Sulumbek Tashtamirov, Mohammed Ekshayev and Shirvani Gunayev, were detained at 17:00 o'clock on March 13 at a checkpoint near the Cossack village Sleptsovskaya (Republic of Ingushetia) working for the interests of forced migrants staying at temporary site "Satsita". Special uneasiness in this connection causes the destiny of Sulumbek Tashtamirov, who for two weeks was holding hunger-strike as a sign of protest against constitutional referendum in Chechnya. According to reports received from Moscow, the detainees were shifted to Sunzhenskoi RUVD. It is mention-worthy that on January 6 of this year already occurred the incident of the detention of four temporary migrants from "Satsita"
camp, and disfigured corpse of one of the detainees was discovered on January 11. All-Russian movement of the human rights addressed to President of Ingushetia M.M. Zyazikov with the request to immediately control the situation. We request to all human rights organizations to take notice of the situation regarding the detention of three Chechen human rights activists. Contacts on telephone (095)202-22-24.
