Achkhoi-Martan district
Forests near the village Samashki were bombarded
On February 5, 2003 according to residents of Achkhoi-Martan, settlementsSamashki
and Zakan-Yurt, at 10.00 p.m. forest belt along the road Baku- Rostov near the
village Samashki was subject to bombardment.No information has come about victims
or damage.

Grozny
Prosthetic-Orthopedic Centre is opened in Grozny
In Grozny Prosthetic-Orthopedic Centre that has been closed for the wartime
functions again. At present only prosthetic department is working wherethere
are 25 specialists. Prosthetic device and repair for invalids, whose number
has greatly increased since the war started, is in charge of government. At
the moment 1055 invalids who need top-priority aid are registered in the Centre.
This year the centre is planning to produce 300 prosthetic devices. The government
order is partly done. Orthopedicdepartment will be opened soon. But specialists
are planning to startworking to the full in spring 2003.

New Trade Committee building is under construction
In the centre of Grozny in Lenin Avenue a building company "Aldy" has started
constructing new trade Committee building, which will include a restaurant,
a cafe, a confectionary and shops. In the nearest future Chechen citizens will
have an opportunity to do shopping and just relax in a peculiar for its architecture
building designed by local architects. All the works inside and outside are
carried on according to European quality standards. Only top-quality materials
are used.

Urus-Martan district
Forced disappearance in the village Urus-Martan
On February 2, 2003 at daytime in the suburbs of the village Urus-Martan from
the local fodder production mill military men drove away in the unknown direction
Zizaev Nokha Ramazanovich born in 1984 who lives in KalanchakskayaSt. As became
known, Zizaev, invalid since childhood, was at his workingplace when soldiers
in two APCs without state numbers broke the mill gates and drove into the yard.
Having produced no documents, they beat Zizaev and his father with rifle butts.
After that federals ordered Ramazan Zizaev to lie on the ground and forced his
son inside the APC. To Ramazan's request why they had seized his son, federals
answered that he should be checked in computer database, and in case he was
not guilty, the man would be released. Nokha's relatives
have appealed to various institutions but still knownothing about their son's
future.

Report from Ingushetia
Chechen people search their missing relatives
SRCF regional information centre in Ingushetia received new information about
missing people. Relatives of the lost ask everybody who possesses useful data
to assist in search.
On April 25, 2002 Gazaev Ramzan Khasanovich (1959), who lives in the village
Borzoi of Shatoi district,left for the town Mozdok by his car "NivaVAZ2131"
of the violet color and didn't return.
On April 26, 2002 Mansuraev Magomed Abdurakhmanovich (1960), who lives in the
village Ulkhigoi of Shatoi district, went to Mozdok by his car"VAZ21212". Nothing
has been heard of him since that time.
On May 25, 2002 unknown people in masks and camouflage droveaway in hispersonal
car "VAZ21110" of the green-brown color Zubairaev Umar Amirivich. The missing
person lived in Grozny in 1 Polyarnikov St. Relatives's appeals to district
administration lead to no results.
On August 12, 2002 unknown people in masks and camouflage drove away from his
house Guluev Ramzan Dzhalaevich, who lived in the Staropromyslovsky district
of Grozny in 1 Mariupolskaya St. The search lasted for 5 months gave no results.
Ramzan Dzabrailov and SRCF continue shared humanitarian help program. A well-known
Moscow businessman Ramzan Dzhabrailov and SRCF regional department in Chechenya
and Ingushetia continue their shared refugee humanitarian help program. At present
Ramzan Dzhabrailov is buying 50 cows and 100 tons of flour. Meat and flour will
be distributed by SRCF members among the forced Chechen migrants who live on
the territory of Ingushetia and also among the needy Chechen citizens on the
Muslim holiday Kurban-Bairam.
