INGUSHETIA, October 24, Caucasus Times - A task forces police team hasreportedly killed Turashev Kazbek, an alleged militant wanted by thepolice, at the crossroads of Dzhabagiyeva and Neftyanaya streetsKarabulak downtown.

The 26-year-old local man of Ordzhonikidzevskaya village in Sunzhenskydistrict of Ingushetia was shot dead downtown by the police team whilethe scene was witnessed by dozens of the bystanders. "We were justcoming back home from the market, when the masked policemen withassaults rifles appeared at the site," told Movlatkhan Sapraliyeva, awoman who witnessed the incident. "They policemen looked quite strange,nervously pushing the people. There was a car parked by the road, with adriver a woman with child inside. As soon as the young man attempted toget out the car, the masked police team started chaotic shooting at theman. The people got panicked, shouting, dispersing in horror. I don'tknow what was there after the shooting,” the woman said.

The attacked man died due to gunshot wounds on the spot, while his wifeand the child did not suffer, the Karabulak Prosecutor's office said inthe interview with the Caucasus Times correspondent. Criminal case isopen, under investigation.

Three young men shot down at the Groznyy market

CHECHNYA, October 24, Caucasus Times - The other day, the enforcement agencies employees have reportedly shot down three young persons at the central market Groznyy downtown. According to available information the incident occurred in the afternoon. The numerous eyewitnesses affirmed, that the people who had shot 3 young men at the central market of the Chechen capital, were the employees of local law-enforcement agencies, the so-called "kadirovtsy". "At the moment of the incident I happened to by close by and I sure can tell you how it came," Zaindy Tagayev, a 35-year-old local man told the Caucasus Times correspondent. "There were about 10 masked gunmen in camouflage approached those three guys, chatting about something. At once the attackers opened fierce assaults rifle and pistol fire on the young men. Apparantly, the victims could not understand what was wrong. They all died on the spot."

Then, the panic at the market ensued right away and the people began to scatter in all directions, the witness said. He was pushed aside by the masses of people and could not see anything else. "The folks said those, shooting were "kadyrovtsy" and the killed guys were militants, while others claimed that was just another "war" between conflicting gangster groups," he said.

The Interior Ministry of the Chechen Republic has confirmed the fact of murder of 3 young people at the Grozny market, but declined to comment the incident. "As of now a team of detectives has been conducting field investigation at the cite to find out what happened. We don't have anything to add," a duty police officer of the Chechen Interior Ministry said.
