Information blockade - continuation
of terror and violence in the Chechen Republic
On 21 January 2003, the "Chechen Committee of National Salvation" Public
Movement has been notified on the closing of the site of the organization. The
notification has been sent by the representative of the company Galina Borisova,
provider of Mastak Ru. "Dear Mr. Badalov, - reads the letter, - To our regret,
we have to inform you that we can no more offer you our service. Our company always
seeks to be out of politics, but your resource is of anti-Russian trend,
using us serious complications in our work. Your resource will be closed
on 24 January 2003".
Undoubtedly, the decision with regard to closing the site of the Chechen Committee
of National Salvation, a human rights organization but not of "anti-Russian trend"
(as mentioned in the letter) has been made by the leaders of the company under
the pressure on the part of Russian special services. All the above-mentioned,
most likely, is one of the links of the chain directed at creation of information
blockade around the going on terror and violence on the part of the Russian military
against the defenseless civilians in the Chechen Republic.
