Head of Sharoy district administration murdered

On 25 December 2002, in a village of Grozny district, unidentified people in masks and camouflage murdered the head of Sharoy district Mohady Musalov.
According to the local residents, Musalov was working in his yard when unknown people shot him and died several days later in the hospital.

Chechen refugee arrested in Nazran

On 6 January 2003, in the centre of Nazran, employees of the Internal Ministry of Ingushetia detained a refugee from the Chechen Republic Abubakar Arsayev, born in 1973, living in "URS" camp of temporary residence located in the outskirts of Nazran. Together with him they also detained another Chechen refugee, but later he was released. Arsyaev was taken to the militia department of Nazran. They accuse him of drug abduction [addiction]. However, the neighbors and relatives of Abubakar Arsayev say they have never noticed anything of the kind with him.

Search of Chechen civilians captured by Russian servicemen

Citizens of the Chechen Republic apply to the Nazran office of the Chechen Committee of National Salvation to assist them in search of their missing relatives captured by the Russian servicemen. Anzor Sultanovich Ismailov, born in 1979, resident of the village Goity of Urus-Martan district. Early in the morning on 4 November 2001, Russian soldiers in masks broke into his home and took him away. Since that nothing is known about Ismailov, although his relatives applied to
all force structures and bodies of authorities of Urus-Martan district.
